National Money Museum

In the National Money Museum there are Coins from allover the world, from ancient times, are gathered in a 20 thousand piece collection. Some of the coins can be easily mistaken with clothing buttons. In the present the museum is established in the “Yellow House”, one of the oldest constructions in Maputo. In fact the small building is protected as Cultural Patrimony. One of the best pieces in the collection is a human statue build in iron and covered with hundreds of coins. At the end of the exhibit you can relax in the esplanade placed in a very accommodating inner yard.

Open time: Tue. to Fri., 11 a-m to 5 p.m. / Sat. 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m/ Sund. And Holidays: 2 p.m to 5 p.m.. Price: 20 MT.
